Re-start??

So...I've been thinking of re-starting my business with Pampered Chef. Before when I was a consultant I wasn't that "gung-ho" about it but lately I've been thinking it might be a good way to earn some extra cash, and now that I've moved to a better area I think I could do well. What are your thoughts? And, if you are interested in hosting a party soon let me know. If I re-start I could do some good shows in the month of November....

Flu, State Cup and Halloween Party

My Cute Hubby!

So, last week we had a little bit of a panic at our house. Justus came down with the flu! Don't worry, I'm okay, I didn't catch it. Luckily I got a flu shot a few weeks before and once I knew he was sick I didn't touch him and tried to disinfect whatever I could. My poor husband though. He was very sick. Luckily we were able to get him some Tamiflu and within a couple of days he was all better! This couldn't have hit at a worse time though, for him at least. He got sick in the early morning hours of the day he was going to coach the State Cup Semi Final game(s). Both his teams made it to the semi's but played at the same time. Luckily he had assistant coaches at each game to help him out. Both teams advanced to the finals and played on Saturday and both won. The U-14's killed La Roca (their enemies) 4-0, could have been a lot worse too. That team didn't get one goal scored on them the whole tournament and their closest game was 3-0!! They played awesome!! I was so proud of them and Justus!! The U-12 team scraped by in the finals winning 3-2 in the last few minutes Daniel got a very lucky header in the box that barely went in for the win. But, a win is a win. They didn't play as well as we had hoped (not to mention their goalie got a red card in the semi final game, so they didn't have a real goalie playing) but they still were able to pull it together to get the win. Great Job Boys! Can't wait for Regionals in New Mexico next June!

The U-12's

Between the final games, Coke and I went up to University Mall to see Justus' cousin who was having a book signing. Chad Lewis, retired NFL star and former BYU player, wrote a book about how he acheived his success. So we went and visited him and had a small chat with him. He's a nice guy for someone who went to BYU...haha.

On Sunday was the Annual Burt Halloween party at the Love's. Justus and I went as Alice and the Mad Hatter. Jonny and Connor went as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. I had to squeeze into my costume since the dress is not meant for a 5 month pregnant woman! We had to break out the plyers to get it to zip up!! We had a lot of fun.

I know...you can barely tell I'm prego in this picture!

Projects to Come

So I've got an itch to finally start doing stuff for our little boy now that we know he's a boy. Here are some of the things I've got in the works...

I got this cute scrapbooking kit for a little boy, so I can sort of get that started and personalize it once he's here and we decide on a name.

The last few Saturdays my mom, Justus, Connor and I have ventured across the valleys to several fabric stores to get his little nursery started. My mom is going to make his bedding/bumpers/quilt. Then we've got plenty of fabric to make a few blankets, carrier cover, and a few other things I got fun patterns for.

The bottom three fabrics are going to be the bumpers and skirt for the crib...I'm so excited!
My mom rocks!!

This stack is going to be a lot of different things...blankets, burp rags, carrier cover, diaper-to-go, and nursing covers (aka hooter hiders).

These fun fabrics (love them!) are going to be a few blankets for the little guy...he's already so spoiled!

Week 21

How your baby's growing:Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a carrot. You may soon feel like he's practicing martial arts as his initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to his activity as you get to know him better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now.

Name Suggestions (none needed, thanks)

So, Justus and I pretty much have an idea of what we are going to name our little guy. Yes, we are keeping it a secret because what if we decide to change it? So, don't ask or guess, we aren't telling. But, we have had some interesting suggestions coming mainly from our family members. Here are some of them:
  • Korihor and call him Kori (this has been our "favorite"-yes that is a sarcastic remark). I don't think we want to name our kid after that guy.... We suggested after that why not have twins and name them Cain and Abel or Laman and Lemuel?!
  • Cletus and call him Clete, yes like a soccer cleat.
  • Satan- well...various versions of this have been suggested along with other devilish names from movies...my brother-in-laws think our boy is going to be crazy like Justus was as a kid. (example- at around 3 he was chopping wood on his own and cut his head open with the axe or how about the time he cracked eggs in the refrigerator so he could watch them ooze down each level? yes...this is what I'm in for...)
  • 9- this is Justus' suggestion that he's not going to let die until we are done having kids. Its his favorite number. I've quashed this because I don't want our kid named after a number. And, according to a baby name book we have a judge ruled it "inhumane" or something to name a person a number. Sorry honey...
  • Rolliker- Rolliker Koelliker and call him Rolli...yeah I don't think so
  • Kick- another Justus favorite.

These are just a few of the suggestions we've had in the past couple of weeks. I'm sure we will get more and more in the next 20 weeks until the little guy finally gets here. For now we just tell people to call him "Buddy" or "the baby." Mark, Justus' dad, likes to call him Bob; he's really just calling him that so we will get annoyed and hopes we will divulge the baby's real possible name. Sorry Marky Mark, not happening.

Kicks and Giggles

I am now 20 weeks! Half way there!!
The last week I have been feeling our little guy move all over the place, before I would occasionally feel a kick or punch, but he's going crazy now! I am shocked at how much I can feel him moving around! Like's he's already practicing his soccer moves!!
But, each feeling makes it even more and more real that he's there. Justus has been able to feel him move a few times and that makes him excited to be able to finally feel him.
I'm just hoping that he's not this active the rest of my pregnancy. I will have a bruised stomach or ribs for sure! And if its any sign of what he's going to be like, he'll be an energizer bunny just like his dad was as a kid!! OH NO!!!

It's a.....

Well...I know I've delayed posting this because I wanted to add a picture or something cute, but here goes...
We will be welcoming a cute baby
BOY to our family!!! We are so excited to finally know what we are having. We were going back and forth as to what it could be. Almost everyone we knew thought for sure it would be a girl, so it came as a shock to many people that it's going to be a boy. My mom and I have already started shopping for cute fabric to decorate his nursery with and make cute things out of. I'll get pictures up now that I've got a charged battery for our camera!
