Where's Baby Jack??

Well, just so you know we still don't know our babies gender, its too early. Maybe in another month.
Anyway, many of you might know that Justus' brother and wife are having a baby boy, Jack. His due date was yesterday and still no baby Jack. She's not dialated, no contractions, nothing. So she went to her doctor this morning to have a check up and I assume talk about possibly being induced (if it comes to that). She was supposed to let me know how it went and still haven't heard anything yet...so lets hope baby Jack comes soon! I'm excited to be an Aunt and have another little baby around until we get ours in 190 days!

Mini Golf and Frogs

So Justus and I recently went mini golfing with my parents and little brother. I won! I got 3 hole in ones!! I was stoked. I haven't played that good in years. It was fun to watch Connor try and figure out if he should putt left or right handed...we still aren't sure which way is easiest for him. But...just before we got to the last hole at Mulligans, the "Pyramid" where your ball doesn't come back, my dad noticed a toad on the sidewalk. So, I went up to it and poked it. It jumped. Then my dad was trying to pick it up to show Connor. He finally got it after a few hops. So my dad said "Connor look!" and Connor was looking on the ground left, right and behind him trying to see where it had jumped!! (it was hilarious) Then my dad puts the toad up to him and Connor jumps back and turns to "run" away. He says "I DON'T LOOK AT FROGS WHEN I SEE THEM!!" We all laughed...reminded us of one of our favorite movie lines "You shut your mouth when you're talking to me!" Oh the boy...he's so hilarious!!

Boy Or Girl??

So, I'm dying to find out if we are having a boy or a girl, but I figure I'd ask what all your predictions are. I'll list out some of my symptoms and things that might help you guess what we will have.

All Day Sickness- I've been sick pretty much all day long. It's finally starting to go away, but sometimes still creeps up on me. Luckily, I've only thrown up a handful of times.

Smells- Lately smells have been getting to me. Some of which have triggered those handful of unpleasant throw ups I've encountered.

Cravings- So far I haven't had too many cravings. Slurpee's were a big help in cutting down on my sickness, so I've had several of those lately.

Moodiness- Right when we found out I was prego, I was having mood swings galore! But I haven't really had them. I'm just exhausted all the time now.

Heartbeat- Our baby's heart beat is very strong and fast

My family history- My family has all boys and one girl. My dads family had all girls and one boy. My moms family had two boys and two girls. On my dad's side I have all boy cousins except 4 girl cousins. On my moms side- I'm not too sure, mixed.

Koelliker family history- Justus' family has all boys and one girl. His dads family has 5 girls and 2 boys. His moms family had primarily girls and a few boys (I'm not sure on exact numbers for the Cromars). Justus' cousins are mixed, but seem to be primarily boys (but there are a lot of them!).

HAPPY GUESSING!

ER VISIT

Well, on Friday we had a scare. I was on my lunch watching Justus' teams play in the Sparta tournament when I wasn't feeling well and my stomach started hurting. I figured I was hungry so I got some food and a drink and waited for the pain to go away. Well, it didn't. It got worse and worse during the game. So, after it was over I told Justus we needed to go to the ER because I was in a lot of pain (and of coarse I started crying because of the pain and I was scared). So we went to Alta View's ER. After waiting for 30 minutes to get checked in, we finally got back to a room. I was in the most pain at this point, and it would get worse at times and then die down a little; my fear, I was having a miscarriage and my pain was contractions. I'm still crying over the pain and me being scared. Finally after waiting over an hour, probably 90 minutes, a nurse finally comes in (pain time- 2 hours+). She doesn't do much, just has me do a urine sample and sends me back to my room. After sitting in there for a few minutes, they move me to another "room." After waiting for probably another 30 minutes we finally see the doctor. By this time my pain is starting to slowly die down. He does some basic exams of my heart beat, stomach pressure and all that jazz. Then he says we'll do an ultra sound to make sure baby is okay. So, after several more minutes he does that and the baby is fine. Whew! Huge relief! I'm still in some pain, but I'm not bawling anymore and its really dying down. Of coarse...right when the doctor walks in I'm starting to feel fine right? So they determine that I should do more tests (blood work, another ultra sound and a pelvic exam) just to make sure all is well. After all that, and several more hours of being there and lots of waiting. I'm finally discharged and given antibiotics to fight what they think might be a "slight infection." Key word "MIGHT." After lots of freaking out, stressing and crying everything is fine. We were able to see the baby on another ultra sound and see the heartbeat again. Everything is fine, but what a scare we had.
