Okay Ashley...Blast from the Past it is!

So, my friend Ashley declared this week "Blast from the Past" week. So, I'm playing along. If you want to play along, here's her rules: Post one thing a day that has to do with the past. Anything. So, here is my first one.

#1:

So the above picture is from my birthday party when I was who knows how old?! I'm assuming 6? There was this place down by the DI in Sandy off 700 East and 9400 South that you could go there and paint ceramic items. It was pretty cool.

My friends at the table are from my old neighborhood on Silver Willow Drive in Sandy. Going around the table we have me, Candace Stuart, Tiffany Lee, Chelsea Goss, Christie Cochrane, Brooke Marion (Bird), Krystal Neddo (Day), and Hayley Halls (Cochran). For the most part I've kept in touch with a couple of them, but the others I just see on a random basis, or I'm friends with them on Facebook and that keeps us in touch!

But my three friends that we all used to hang out a ton and we were the little hellian blonde squad were the four of us below: Brooke, me, Christie and Hayley. We used to run around that neighborhood like it was nobodys business!! But after all of us started moving out of the "hood" we lost touch between a few of us. But last summer we got back in touch with everyone and went to lunch! It was great fun to catch up with everyone.

Addresses Needed for Open House

So, after Justus and I officially move into the house, we are going to have an open house so that all our friends and family can come hang out and see our new place. We've already had a ton of people that want to come and see it, so instead of having everyone come at random times we are just going to have a party! So, in order to get out invitations to some of you I'll need your addresses, so email me at kbkoelliker@hotmail.com so I can shoot you and invitation after we pick a date. It probably won't be until April, but with the madness that will be next month I figure I better just get them now so I already have them. So if you want to come see it, let me know! I'll also post something later on with the details too but if you want and invitation as a reminder....I'll send one your way!

The House

This is our future house. The exterior in this picture wasn't finished yet, but you get the idea. Now that the condo is under contract, its more of a reality that the house will be ours by the end of March!!

SOLD!!!!!!

Yesterday we got an offer from an couple on our condo and we totally accepted it!!! We should close on that mid March and our realtors are going to try and have us close on our house around the same time. YAY!!!

Updates

Hey everyone....thought I've give a quick update on anything new. So, most of you can tell we are trying to sell the condo so we can get into our new house that is just sitting, waiting for us to move in! We had a buyer come this week that loved it, and they're coming back tomorrow and from what I've heard from my realtor...this might be the one to finally put an offer down!! Hooray!!

In other news....I got a promotion at work and I'm now a Help Desk Team Lead (a supervisor) and thats been great. The other team leads are great to work with and I feel like I've been able to contribute a lot of my thoughts on how to make things run smoother in certain areas of our job. I'm still working a few nights at Naartjie as well and things are great there.

Justus' Sparta 96 boys team got accepted to the biggest international tournament in the US in April, the Dallas Cup. So, we will be in Dallas, TX the first week of April for this week long tournament. The best teams from the country and tons of international teams come to play in this huge tournament. Justus is so excited to have this opportunity for his kids because they've been working towards this kind of recognition for a long time. Even if they don't make it out of their pool, its an honor for them to even be invited to such a prestigious tournament! I'm so excited for them!

Last bit of news that I can think of is that Nic & Joyce are pregnant! Congrats to the future parents of my first niece/nephew!! They are very early in their pregnancy and are due in the middle/end of August. As for us in baby news....I finally went to a doctor to see if there's anything wrong with me and we should have some answers in the upcoming weeks. So I'll keep you all posted.

Thanks for all your love and support with us in the last few months...we've definitely been grateful for all the help our friends and family have given us, so thanks to you all! We love you guys!

Showings

So....after we reduced the price of the condo we didn't immediately get any showings. But, last week we had 5 in one week! So, thats awesome...too bad we haven't heard any feed back from 4 of them so we are still just waiting to see what will happen. I keep it optimistic so I'm not stressing....I'm just hoping people are just getting their finances in order so they can make an offer! We shall see....I'll keep you updated if anything finally happens. But, we think with the new price we can hopefully get it sold in the next month. Cross your fingers right?!
