Thanksgiving Time and My Birthday!

(View from our room in the Bellagio)

So for Thanksgiving we were in Las Vegas and California. I had to work the day before Thanksgiving at autoRx, so we didn't hit the road until late. We arrived in Las Vegas later than we wanted...boo...My mother-in-law, Coke, got a room at the Bellagio for all of us to stay at (me, Justus, my in-laws, and Justus's sister Katie). It was interesting, we had requested a room with two double beds and we were going to be given a room with a king. We protested since there were going to be "four" of us in the room. They "upgraded" us to a junior suite, which, if thats supposed to be better than the others, the others must be tiny! It was the same size as a regular room!! But, it was still really nice. On Thanksgiving we went to the Rio Buffett, its one of the best, for our Thanksgiving lunch/dinner. Then we drove on the California.

(Decorations in the Bellagio for the fall)
We were in San Diego for the Nomads soccer tournament for two of Justus's teams. His teams did okay, better than Utah teams usually do against California teams. His older team lost in the quarterfinals, but ask anyone that was there on either team, and they'll all say the referees were biased against our team and called everything against us and everything for the other local team. What a joke! Then his younger team lost 1-0 in the semifinals, which is still really good.
After the tournament was over, we drove back to Vegas to celebrate my birthday for a couple days. We stayed at the Paris this time. My in-laws got us tickets to see Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian on my birthday. It was so cool! I've seen that only once before and the theatre at the Venetian caters directly to that show, so the theatre is rockin'! I also went shopping for my birthhday and Christmas.
It was an okay trip overall...but next time...I'm flying!

Halloween...Finally!!

I know I've been a slacker, but not having a working computer at home has made it tough. I finally remembered to bring my camera to work so I could post some new pictures! I should be caught up after today!
Halloween was great! I got dressed up for work, and we had a great little contest.

A Day at the Zoo....

Justus and I decided that we were going to take little Connor boy to the zoo...and boy did we have fun. This was when the white alligator was at the Zoo and also right after the new baby monkey was born...and boy...how the zoo has changed since I last went!

Total Slacker...I know...

Hey everyone...I know I've been a total slacker on my blog. I'm going to try and keep on top of it. Since my new job starts so early, I haven't had a chance to catch up on my blog. So now that I know my schedule, and things are starting to slow down, I'll keep you posted.

As for now...the only thing new with me is my new job. I work at AutoRx. If you really want to know what we do, feel free to ask me. If not, I'm not going to take the trouble of trying to explain it!!

I hope all is well with everyone.

New stuff...

Its been a long time since my last post. I've pretty much quit my day job, and am in the process of getting a new one. I haven't had time to do much since I'm working quite a bit at Naartjie now, well for the time being. I didn't get a good holiday weekend in this Labor Day, because I was laboring all weekend at Naartjie. I was graced with the opportunity to work every day! Wahoo! Plus I hurt my ankle and knee in a soccer game Saturday night, and then last night (Monday) I got really sick after I got home from work. So I had a 'fantastic' holiday...

Nothing for now...

Well, I have a few pictures to add and stuff like that, but my laptop at home is broken for the moment. So as soon as I can get that fixed, I'll post more stuff.

So here's the scoop for now...

So, some of you may know that I turned down the job at South Towne. There were many factors into my decision as to why I did not take the job. Cathy respected that I took into account certain things and didn't take a job I didn't think I could do 100%.
