So for Thanksgiving we were in Las Vegas and California. I had to work the day before Thanksgiving at autoRx, so we didn't hit the road until late. We arrived in Las Vegas later than we wanted...boo...My mother-in-law, Coke, got a room at the Bellagio for all of us to stay at (me, Justus, my in-laws, and Justus's sister Katie). It was interesting, we had requested a room with two double beds and we were going to be given a room with a king. We protested since there were going to be "four" of us in the room. They "upgraded" us to a junior suite, which, if thats supposed to be better than the others, the others must be tiny! It was the same size as a regular room!! But, it was still really nice. On Thanksgiving we went to the Rio Buffett, its one of the best, for our Thanksgiving lunch/dinner. Then we drove on the California.

We were in San Diego for the Nomads soccer tournament for two of Justus's teams. His teams did okay, better than Utah teams usually do against California teams. His older team lost in the quarterfinals, but ask anyone that was there on either team, and they'll all say the referees were biased against our team and called everything against us and everything for the other local team. What a joke! Then his younger team lost 1-0 in the semifinals, which is still really good.
After the tournament was over, we drove back to Vegas to celebrate my birthday for a couple days. We stayed at the Paris this time. My in-laws got us tickets to see Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian on my birthday. It was so cool! I've seen that only once before and the theatre at the Venetian caters directly to that show, so the theatre is rockin'! I also went shopping for my birthhday and Christmas.
It was an okay trip overall...but next time...I'm flying!
