The Blowhole

So this is one of our favorite places to go on Maui...the blow hole. (I don't have the exact name on me...hehe) But its awesome! The salt water eroded the rock and formed a natural blow hole. So when the waves hit it just right...you get an awesome sight!

The hike down
Justus thought he was so manly!
The Katie's
The cliff...watch out Spencer!
The Blow hole...not a great shot thoughJustus
Me...I got soaked on my first one!
Nic...he only had one picture taken and I caught a good one of him

Marky Mark...

Off roading in a minivan...

We took our rental van off roading a little bit to check out a black sand beach on Maui just past Wialea

See...black sand...okay not quite black, but it was still cool

You could see other islands just standing on this beach

Next Up...Maui!

So we spent a week on Oahu and then went with the Koelliker family over to Maui to spend a few days there before returning home. We rented a condo for a few days while we were there so we all pretty much stayed together. We mostly did a lot of relaxing mixed with some sight seeing. We also got most people to go snorkeling. We were excited to be back since this is where we went on our honeymoon so we were able to take the family to some cool places to see as well.

Me, Justus & Jason on the beach...taking a break from snorkeling
Our friends, the Timmons, have a house on Maui so they invited us over for a BBQ
This house was huge! We felt like we were in the Parade of Homes!

Lucky Mark...He got to spend his brithday in Maui!

The cool cake we picked out for him

See this cute little critter...we were going to sleep and notice this little lizard hanging around on the ceiling...we didn't kill, we caught him and set him free outside. There were lots of these guys hanging around everywhere!

International Market Place...and Elmo

Justus & I at the International Market Place
Ya know...those guys who earn money by having people put money in a can and then they dance for you
And don't forget Elmo!

Sunset Beach, Turtle Bay and a Rooster

Sunset Beach

It gave us a flash of rain while we were watching the sunset

Turtle Bay (it was night time when we got there so this is the best I could do)

We ate dinner at Pizza Bob's in Hale'iwa and were joined by this rooster!

Hike and Hanauma Bay

So I really wanted to go to Hanauma Bay to go snorkeling. This is a protected reef area that is specifially for snorkeling. Well...the parking lot was full and unless you wanted to park and walk like two miles up a hill and then down a hill, we decided to go sight seeing and try back later. We went on another hike to see the Dragons Nostrils. They are some pools just off the ocean.

Just a pit stop on the way up the hill on the hike.
Dragons Nostrils, you can't see them, but there are people in them swimming
Gorgeous view
An old truck and a bunker (not pictured) from the war

Me snorkeling

Justus tried snorkeling, but he doesn't like it. He did it on our honeymoon and it kind of freaked him out....
