Yesterday I was informed that one of my friends I went to high school with was shot and paralyzed on Friday May, 2nd. Preston Mauer was in Arizona going to school and living life. From one of my sources they said a man tried to take his lap top from him and he resisted. The man shot him in the chest and the bullet lodged in his spine, paralyzing him. His parents recently moved around the corner from my parents, so the Bishop informed their ward of this and they did a ward fast on Sunday for the family. They are also putting together some care packages for Preston and his parents while they are down there during his hospital stay. This is also very unforturnate, because Preston's brother, Skylar, is engaged and will be getting married soon as well. Please keep the Mauer family in your prayers and we hope the best for them in this time of need.
